Grilled Cheese
Grilled Cheese is loved by everyone. Enough said.
Ingredients
Cheese
Cheese is very important as the filler for the sandwich. You must have a good amount of it, though the type does not really matter. Cheddar is what most people use. Try a bunch of stuff, see what you like, then settle on that.
Butter
You need butter so the sandwich doesn't burn. Burning is not good. And also, it adds that wonderful flavor of fat.
Bread
Bread is possibly the most important part of a sandwich, and for that reason I would say that it is a must for you to find one that works best for you. From a health standpoint, some sort of wheat bread is a better choice, and it tastes better than white bread anyway. No matter what you choose, it is important that your bread by strong enough to withstand spreading upon, and toasting. And, as always, don't use moldy bread.
The Process
1. Shred all of the cheese into one big heaping pile. Try not to eat too much, as it is needed for the sandwich.
2. Warm up your griddle or cooking surface.
3. Butter up one side of bread. Put that piece of bread face down on the pan.
4. Put a bunch of cheese on top of that slice.
5. Butter up the appearing side of bread.
6. Wait until browned, then flip. Make sure not to burn it. Repeat this step for the other side.
7. Remove the sandwich with a spatula. It will be hot. Let it cool.
8. You may want to have soup along with it. A lot of people like that, including myself. See picture above.
9. Sit down and enjoy
