Albacore Tuna on Dill Rye
As the title above says, I'm trying out some new tuna today, join me for another exciting review to see if it can muster it's way into the sandwich hall of fame...
There are some incredibly important things to note on this sandwich:
First of all, the new kind of Tuna. Bumble Bee solid white albacore in oil. Albacore is a high grade of tuna, often having a better taste. Oil tastes better, but it is not as good for you as water. Bumble Bee has been semi sketchy in the past as far as giving you an entire steak in the can, we'll see if that changed.

Another important topic is the use of rye bread. Rye bread. It's really good. Dill. It's really good. Unstoppable combo, nothing more can be said about that.
My Evaluation
Going into this sandwich, I knew I would be covering new ground with the tuna and bread options. The bread, well, obviously good, the tuna, however, created some problems. The tuna was shredded into pretty small chunks, making proper draining very difficult. As you know, draining is very important in proper tuna sandwich construction. Well, I did manage to get it mostly drained, though only to about 80% of what I would normall drain. After then, construction was a breeze. Mayonnaise, relish, mustard, all mixed in very well. Take not that to compensate for the added moisture of the oil I could not drain I added a little less mayonnaise.

The Verdict
Overall, this sandwich ranks very well. The flavor of the albacore is really quite nice, though I'm not sure if it warrants doubling the price of a can of tuna. I used to like oil a lot more because of the flavor, but I have moved on to being more of a water man myself. The bread! Oh so good. That really held the sandwich together. The draining problems cast shadows on this sandwich, but the end result really captured my heart. 8 / 10 for another great triumph of tuna.
